Pincushion Swap Due Date

Have you ever done a swap before?  They are so much fun.  Swaps are a great way to challenge your creativity and put your best sewing skills to work.  We’re going to have a pincushion swap.  I’ve made about 40 since the new book Pin Pals by Carrie Nelson came out in November.  So, here’s how this is going to work.  Create a pin cushion, original design or from a pattern, and drop it off at Red Rooster Quilts by Saturday March 23^rd.  Please use quilt shop only fabrics and fill with crushed walnut shells (available here for $3 for 2 cups).  I will pick my favorite and award it a $50 gift card to Red Rooster Quilts.  Then on Monday, I will swap them matching up your efforts with a like pincushion and they will be ready to pick up by Tuesday, March 26^th.  Please put a label on the back with your name, date and made for Red Rooster Quilts Pin Cushion Swap.  And, someone will get my Gnome pincushion!!  Don’t stress over your pincushion.  This should be fun!  Just create something you would like to get.  And, if you are on Instagram, tag your pincushion with #RedRoosterQuiltsPincushionSwap.  We have 28 people competing in our Coral challenge so let’s see if we can beat that!  Not sure how to make a pincushion?  Why not join us on our Friday Night sewing on March 22nd from 5-10 and I can help you.   My Tomte is being naughty and decided to flip sideways.  He'll be that way until I can get him to behave...
