Clara Barton 1821-1912 from Windham Fabrics

Clara maintained a home in Washington, DC during the Civil War and provided relief services to the wounded at many Civil War battle sites. At the War's end, her apartment on Capitol Hill also served as the Office of the Search for Missing Men until 1868. After eight long years, Clara accomplished her greatest feat, founding the American National Red Cross in 1881.

In association with the Clara Barton Birthplace Museum in North Oxford, MA, Windham Fabrics salutes this unique American heroine. Fabrics selected for this collection are from a commemorative signature quilt that was presented to Clara by veterans of the Civil War, as well as artifacts found in her home.

Fabric is 100% cotton and 43/44" wide.
