Happy Fall Quilters!

I am loving this cooler fall weather.  I'd take this year round if I could.  Warm sunny days and cool nights!  As the weather changes, so do the classes here at Red Rooster Quilts.  We have many new offerings for you.  Our new classes include purses, new wool projects, Hoopsisters - a quilt made entirely in your embroidery hoop, new My Garden mystery stitchery plus some quick and easy things, and beginning quilting too.  And, Friday night Fun is back in October.  You can see all the offering on our web site.  All the classes are listed but not all have links to sign up.  You can call the shop or stop by to sign up.  And, dig out those coupon books because this month's coupon is buy one class get one FREE!

As you know, we are participating in the 1,000,000 Pillowcase Challenge.  So far, Red Rooster Quilts has collected about 300 pillowcases.  But, we need your help.  I set a goal of 1,000 pillowcases by December 31st.  So, get over here on Tuesday, September 14th from 10-4 and join us for make a pillowcase day.  In conjunction with ConKerr Cancer, we're hosting a make a pillowcase day.  We'll have machines set up with pillowcase kits ready to buy and sew up.  Or, bring your own machine and fabric.  We want to make 100 pillowcases on Tuesday.  We will have door prizes and refreshments for all who participate. 

New fabric:  We just got a great new collection of reproduction prints called Miniatures by Windham.  It's beautiful pinks, browns, tans and off whites!  There is a great pattern featuring all 53 prints that I will be making as soon as possible.  We also received Tangled Threads by Whimsicals.  A fun collection of sewing notions.  We have Pure by Moda the newest group designed by Sweetwater and we have Fandango by Kate Spain for Moda a fun new funky group in the bright teals and pinks and browns.  And, we also have the new Jo Morton group Spice Chest.  I think we got almost everything I ordered for September in one week!  Over 200 bolts in the last 2 weeks.  Some of these groups are up on our web site for you to see and purchase and the rest will be added next week.
