Happy Thanksgiving
Hello Quilters~
Happy Thanksgiving! Now that the kids are almost gone, it makes the Holidays even more important because I know they will be home. In order to spend time with our families, we will be closed on Wednesday, November 25th and Thursday November 26th. Just in case you can't live without us for those two days, go check out our new and improved web site. We have all of the fabric that we have received in the last 4 months on the web site. Place an Internet order for $25 or more on Wednesday and Thursday and get FREE shipping.
Red Rooster Quilts has joined the 1 Million Pillowcase Challenge for 2010. American Patchwork & Quilting has issued this challenge to make a pillowcase and make a difference. So, look for sewing days next year to help fulfill this challenge. And, just when I was wondering what I would do with all these pillowcases, out of the blue, Jackie Kaplinger from I'm In Stitches Alterations in Delaware contacted me to see if we would be interested in being a drop off location for Cases for Smiles. They provide pillowcases to Nationwide Children's Hospital and various other places. Problem solved, we have a place to donate our pillowcases, now all we need are pillowcases! They are so quick and fun to make. Great for your sewing group, girl scout troop or any group to make. Click here for free pattern and get started today!
Our Customer Appreciation Christmas party is fast approaching. Join us on Friday, December 4th from 4-7. We'll have light refreshments, free drawings, discounts and we're even giving away a finished quilt. Plus, at 6:00 pm we'll have a white elephant sewing exchange. Bring something from your sewing room, a ufo, book, notion, etc. that you no longer have a use for and go home with a fun new item. Bring it in a brown paper bag so we can easily see what it is.
Then, on Saturday from 12-4, we'll be having our second annual Quick Christmas gifts classes. These classes are free but there is a required supply kit fee. The supply kits will be around $5.00 each. Come for one class or all, leave with FINISHED projects ready to wrap! Click here to sign up.
January Blues Retreat: Mark your calendar for January 22-24th. Details to follow but I have been invited to teach a class at Round Lake and there are still spaces available for this retreat. Here's a sneak peak of what I'll be teaching:
